Stuart Green
Stuart Green is an internationally experienced senior transformation programme and change management leader with more than three decades’ experience across logistics, healthcare distribution, pharma and retail supply chains. He specialises in translating complex operational and organisational change into structured delivery, and has extensive experience in programme initiation, assurance and turn-around, business change, organisational design and delivery.
Stuart’s foundations were built over 17 years across international logistics and retail, beginning as a Management Trainee at Exel Logistics before progressing through business development implementation, then project leadership roles at Clarks Shoes (£4m benefits) and Schlumberger Sema Consulting. As UK Retail Programme Manager at WH Smith, he project managed a head office restructure delivering circa £10m savings per annum, before spending three years as Head of Supply Chain Development at Mothercare, reducing distribution cost-to-sales by over 20% and delivering a greenfield warehouse build. He then spent time as Partner at EC Harris LLP and as an Independent Consultant at Riverfield Consulting, supporting M&S, WH Smith and DHL.
Building on this foundation, Stuart spent nine years in senior VP roles at DHL Supply Chain. As VP Transformation First Choice UKI and EEMEA, he drove a significant increase in continuous improvement initiatives delivering some £51m in benefits. As VP Project Delivery Europe, he led a 350-project portfolio across 26 countries, improved new business gross profit from 54% to 86%, built a career path framework for circa 500 project managers and programme led a European wide efficiency programme, delivering over £50m savings. He then directed two global Strategy programmes as VP Global Space to Lead, leading organisation design programmes that delivered combined savings of some £60m, before programme leading DHL’s successful NHS Supply Chain bid, securing four procurement towers including a new joint venture and £60m in contract revenue.
From 2018, as Programme Management & Implementation Director at Alliance Healthcare UK, Stuart led the integration of 12 Boots cross-dock sites, a telematics delivery project and a circa £10m-per-annum Capital Infrastructure Programme. As Interim Head of Delivery at RS Group, he led a portfolio that included the Product Management System programme that trebled new product launch volume capability. Since 2024, as an Independent Consultant, Stuart has led the development and delivery of the strategic PMO for Alliance Healthcare’s £100m+ automated distribution centre, deployed a standardised SAP/Manhattan WMS framework across 12 UK sites, and — most recently — directed the design phase of RS Group’s post-acquisition integration of a Swiss business.
Stuart holds a BSc (Econ) from the University of Aberystwyth.
